New ACEO - tidepool treasures

Nestled in a shell, a tiny mercat naps the afternoon away. Mercats are just like regular housecats - they like to bask in the sun, but they have to come in quite close to shore to find a good spot. This often results in them getting stranded in a tidepool at low tide. Click here to bid!

New ACEO - Ebisu

One of the shichifukujin, or seven lucky gods of Japan, Ebisu is the god of fishermen.

new ACEO - if cats could paint

Here's miss kitty, doing what I like best! Those little sparrows take this one right off the cuteness meter I think!

New ACEO - hanabi

I don't usually list of fridays, but I skipped wednesday because of the holiday. Here is a typical ukiyoe scene of a woman in a yukata watching fireworks. We went to watch the fireworks this past Sunday (monday was Canada day). We waited out two hours in a prime spot (on a bridge), and then were treated to.....NINE whole minutes of fireworks. They were really nice, but really short. Afterwards, we got stuck in traffic - it took us almost an hour just to go a two block distance. Whew, next year we won't be going downtown to enjoy them - maybe we'll set off some of our own. Click here to bid!

new ACEO - Bastet

The cat here is a Chausie, a breed of cat derived from the Ancient Egyptian Jungle Cat, which was domesticated and kept as a hunting companion and was probably the model for the statues of Bastet you see. Click here to bid!
This design is also available on magnets and ornaments - click here to purchase!

And just a reminder, this auction is ending tomorrow. Apparently the mild nudity violated my photo hosting service's terms of use, so it got yanked and there's a big violation notice instead of an image in my auction. So, I've uploaded the painting to my own server. I can't edit the aution, but I just wanted to let you all know what is going on. Click here to bid!

New ACEO - wake up, it's time to go!

got a lot of requests for another rainbow brige painting, so here you go!

New Merchandise!

I ordered samples of these, and I'm glad to say they're really nice. I ordered a tile box and a tshirt of the yellow tabby. Both are really good quality, so I'm happy to post both designs are available on a wide range of merchandise in my Cafepress store. I've been getting a lot of requests for some more "realistic" type merch, so here are a couple of my drawings from a few years ago. The white tee says "I "heart" my tabby on the back - really cute. Click here to see the goodies!
All my other Japanese designs are still available in my main shop here!

This was a commission, so the origingal was never up for sale, but it's now available on a magnet for your fridge! The magnets are really nice and heavy, and the print size is the same as the original painting. Click here to purchase - many other of my original designs available also!

Actual photo of magnet:

New ACEO - spring bouquet

I think this will be one of my last spring themed ones for this year (not counting sakura of course) because the weather is just so hot and summery now. It's 86 today which really isn't that hot but I'm melting and my poor cat is comatose. Anway, Click here to bid on the original,

New ACEO - catch a falling star II

I did a painting similar to this recently, and received a few request to do another of the same. Well, I don't do multiples of paintings, because it's important to me that my buyers get "one of a kinds". So same theme, but quite a bit different from the last. I hope the people who asked for it like it. :o)

New ACEO - sashimi

Here's a pretty Japanese mermaid. Out of respect to spounge bob, I'll refrain from calling this "jelly fishing". This is what happens when you read cookbooks too close to bedtime - there's this jellyfish salad I've been wanting to try, but I don't know where I can get dried jellyfish here.

Anyway, click to bid!

New ACEO - maiko

I'm gearing up to do a human commission, so I couldn't resist doing a maiko. I know a lot of people who like my art aren't particularily cat lovers, so this one's for them - although I couldn't resist adding a cat anyway!

New ACEO - Rainy days

The auction looks wierd - I'm having a heck of a time with ebay's new selling form. It screws up my html but every time it has I revise item with the same html and the second time through it looks ok. Today, nothing I do seems to help. Well, just ignore all the wierd spacing, and if you can figure out how to fix this, let me know. My template is always the same except for the pictures, so I don't know why this auction won't look right. Anyway, you can click here to bid!

New ACEO - Japanese kanji for mother

This is one of my "feng shui" paintings - meant simply to give you a nice feeling when you look at it. I used to do a lot of these - they're nice to hang in a small corner of your house if you're craving a feeling of serenity. I forgot I used to paint these!
