New ACEO - Love is Magical!
Hello everyone! Hope everyone had a great Christmas. We had a wonderful time, and I really slacked off and relaxed. I got some great gifts - including a whole bunch of new books. I also got some new paints - colors I wouldn't normally buy because they're more expensive. So here's something I did to try out the new shades. Since Valentine's day is coming up, I wanted to do something pretty and romantic! Click here to bid!

New Moussart Merchandise!
Hey guess what, I now have a zazzle store! Zazzle is better than cafepress - plus they offer quality prints. I have some magnets, keychains, prints, notecards and a few mugs, and will be adding new designs steadily over the next few days. Check out this notecard!

New ACEO - Rococo cat
Here's a new period costume kitty, from around the mid 1700's. She's wearing a "robe a la francaise", otherwise known as a sack dress. Sounds better in French, non?

New ACEO - romance in the snow!
LOL, she's supposed to be trying to look anonymous as she sneaks home early in the morning. I'm really happy with this one - there are some really subtle effects I managed to pull of exactly how I wanted. The snowy background turned out lovely, and the snowflake on her kimono are exactly the right translucency. Click here to bid and thanks for looking!
New ACEO - Romeo and Juliet
I finished this yesterday, but didn't have time to post links! So here you go. I'll probably have another card ready this afternoon - something Japanese. Thanks for looking!

New ACEO - first snow
I've been holding off painting snow because we get so much in the winter. This guy should have been paying more attention also - he should be hibernating by now!

This illustrates the Greek myth of the golden apple, and how the Trojan war got started. AKA the world's first cat fight!

New ACEO - sacque dress
This kind of dress was worn in the late 1700's. I love the way the hydrangea background turned out - It's great when you plan something out in your head and then the paint cooperates. Click here to bid!

New ACEO - last trip to the beach
The weather here is amazing! It's still pleasant to go walk along the beach without bundling up - although the swimming season is past.

New ACEO - kumihimo
Here's something that I tried a long time ago, but wasn't very good at. Of course at the time I didn't bother to get the proper equipment and that really makes the difference. I'm of a mind to try again. The stand itself can be bought online (even on ebay) but can be expensive - so I'd make my own. It's really only two pieces of wood attached together with dowels.

New ACEO - mooncakes!
Here's a Chinese version of the Japanese "Tsukimi" I painted recently. The tradition originally came to Japan from China. Every year our local grocery store sells huge boxes of these mooncakes, and I've always wanted to try them so bad. But they're very expensive and I never want to shell out the cash for something I just want to try - $20 is a lot to pay for a box of beanpaste buns that only I will eat and probably not finish!
