Squeeeee! It's a tabby angel! This one was sketched quickly from life from my own cat, who likes to sit at my feet when I'm working on the computer and stare up at me. I didn't do Calypso's coloring exactly, but the shape's hers - big butt and all.

Also, here's one with a bit of a story. I originally did this to donate to a fundraiser, but I missed the mail-in deadline. I don't feel right just selling this, but my cat is sick so I need the money for my vet bill. So what I will do if you are the high bidder is only charge you for HALF of the final bid plus shipping, and I'm asking that you take the other half that would have gone to me normally and donate it to your favorite animal charity. I'm going on the honor system here, but my collectors are an awesome bunch of people so I know you'll do what's right! please read the auction description for more info.

New ACEO

Here's something celebrating literacy. My six year old is in grade one this year and is starting to learn to read in earnest. So every night is Hop on Pop night. He's also learning to read French at the same time (he's in French Immersion school).

The book here is "Momotarou", which is a classic Japanese folktale about a miraculous baby boy that pops out of a peach and all of his exploits. I have written "Momotarou" in hiragana on the cover of the book, which is on the opposite side of the book than here in the west! I have several Japanese books and I find them a bit strange to read because they're set up "backwards".

Today, I'm working on something that incorporates Shunga in a small way. If you know what that is, great! If not, it's something a little racey. Will be ready probably on wednesday.
